BISHOP PERSICO’S CSA LETTER
Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
As we embark on this year’s Catholic Services Appeal (CSA), I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generosity and emphasize the profound impact your support has on our diocesan family. Because of you, the CSA unites us as One Faith, One Family, empowering us to transcend the efforts of any single parish. Working together, we evangelize, educate, serve and inspire hope in those who need it most across the Diocese of Erie. This year, I want to highlight three vital areas your transformational support uplifts: prayer, discipleship and service.
In Prayer: Faith is a lifelong journey and the CSA funds pivotal programs that nurture each stage—from baptism and Catholic schooling to adult formation. Your contributions foster the faith of all generations, helping people deepen their relationship with God. Your support strengthens our presence from urban centers to rural communities.
In Discipleship: Our Communications Office fuels evangelization. Faith magazine, made possible by your contributions, shares enlightening stories and teachings that showcase the beauty of Catholic life for families throughout the diocese. Your support ensures these uplifting messages resonate within our entire community.
In Service: Your contributions enable Catholic Charities Counseling and Adoption Services (CCCAS) to expand mental health services across all 13 counties. Your generosity provides essential mental health support through in-person and telehealth options, illuminating hope for a brighter future for those in need.
